Apple I-Phone 5S Rumours

The release date for the next iPhone is out and it’s 20th June according to French website Nowhereelse.fr. According to the website, the next iPhone model, the iPhone 5S is scheduled to be unveiled on 20th June. The device will be ready for shipping by July. This suggests a shift in pattern for Apple which has been releasing iPhones generally by the beginning of the third quarter for the last couple of years.

While Apple released the initial versions of the iPhone in June and July, the phone launch was pushed back to October for the iPhone 4S and to September for the iPhone 5.  The iPhone 4S has perhaps been the most path-breaking iPhone of the series in terms of software and features. Looks like Apple is ready to go back to their pattern of launching the iPhone in June.

There have been a plethora of rumours surrounding the iPhone 5S. The phone is supposed to change the traditional iPhone not just in terms of software but even the hardware and the body. iPhone 5S is expected to come in multiple colours. The iPod Touch, touted to be the ‘iPhone Without the Phone’ debuted this year in a multitude of colours setting off rumours of colourful iPhone 5S.

Another news surrounding the iPhone 5S is the incorporation of a stylus. This is keeping in line with the news of different screen sizes as the device might come with a stylus for the bigger screen size. However, this is just an offhand rumour and chances of it being true are slim. Finger-Print Unlocking is another feature iPhone 5S is said to incorporate. After Samsung’s Smart Scroll, it only makes sense for Apple to up the innovation. The feature will not only provide additional security but even add a personal touch. However, just like the stylus, we’re once again sceptical of the feature coming with the iPhone 5S as recent rumours have stated that Apple is facing issues in procuring the film for the screen which will not hamper finger-print unlocking. If that’s the case, the unavailability of an adequate screen might push the launch from June once again to September.

The iPhone 5S is expected to feature iOS 7 and will focus on camera and video features. Apart from the dual-shot function which is reportedly being tested, the iPhone 5S will have the ability to record complete HD videos. Apple’s next device, the iPhone 5S is expected to come not just with a 12 MP camera but even an enhanced 2 MP front snapper.

While none of the features are confirmed, they are all features iPhone fans would love to have in their next phone. We do hope this rumour had not just a grain but a whole store-house of truth!
